Sir Tim Berners-Lee: Web needs its own Magna Carta

"It is 25 years since the physicist Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the world wide web, and decided to give it away for free.

Millions around the world now use the web to communicate and share information.

Sir Tim says that the web is so important it needs its own Magna Carta, with the freedom to use it as important as enshrined human rights.

In an interview with the BBC's Bill Turnbull, he says he does not regret giving it to the world for free, but he never expected it would become so massive."
