IEEE event at MDX

On Friday 13th February 2015 @ 14:00 the IEEE are holding a meeting to discuss establishing a student branch at Middlesex.  You may well know about the IEEE via the library IEEE Xplore database.    In case you don’t know, the IEEE is the world's largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.

The student branch will enable networking in and outside Middlesex with the wider IEEE, prospective employers and other experts.  It will plug our students into conferences and events, and a whole range of student competitions.  There are 27 UK Universities with IEEE student branches, so Middlesex is missing out on being part of this network.

You can see more about the IEEE and benefits to students here: http://www.ieee.org/membership_services/membership/students/index.html

If you want to know more about the IEEE and our student branch, please come along to the meeting.
