Open Access Week is a global event now in its 8th year, which aims to highlight the potential benefits of Open Access to the academic and research community.
What is Middlesex University doing to support Open Access:
The Middlesex University Research Repository (http://eprints.mdx.ac.uk/) is an online “open access” store of published research and other scholarly content produced by Middlesex University staff and researchers.
The University has an Open Access Publications Policy (http://www.mdx.ac.uk/abou…/policies/public-policy-statements) which was approved by Academic Board in December 2014.
There is an Open Access Library Subject Guide (http://libguides.mdx.ac.uk/openaccess) for researchers, students and staff.
The Research Support team in Library & Student Support (Jenny Evans, Aran Lewis and Bade Ajibade) is responsible for the Research Repository and works with LSS colleagues, the Research and Knowledge Transfer Office and Schools to support researchers and deliver relevant training.
